How to maintain a clean looking candle even after burning
Want to keep your candles with their clean smooth tops like the day you got them? Check out the tips below.
Trim your wick before and/or after each burn.
Discard and burnt wick debris that may have fallen in your candle.
Smothering you candle with a top can cause your jar to turn black and sooty inside so use a snuffer instead OR place the top on your candle for just long enough for the flame to go out. Then remove the lid and allow the candle to air out until cooled.
Store candles in a cool, dry place if you’re not planing to burn them any time soon.
When your candles are not burning, keep them covered with a lid.
Keeping them out of direct sunlight will help preserve their beauty.
Avoid storing them in intense lighting that will create a lot of heat and humidity.
Intense lighting, hot or humid weather can cause discoloration or fading.
Continuous exposure to temperatures over 85 degrees can cause wax to soften soft mindful of your candle placement.
